Introducing... The Klotz

Hello everybody, my name is Kevin Klotz and I created this blog to go along with my two youtube channels I have.

I am currently a youtube partner on my first channel which is primarily Magic The Gathering videos.  On that channel I post two main types of MTG gameplays.  I do a full version of the game where I simply turn up the audio so you can hear the players (and background sounds) and add scrolling names of the cards while they are played.  The second type of video and probably the most popluar is my Highlights videos.  In these videos I take the game I recorded and condense it to only show the action from the game removing all the dead time from thinking and such.  Then I commentate the action and add life counters and card images to make the game easier to follow.  So if you like Magic the Gathering go check out that channel.

My second channnel is one that I just created and will be used for videogame related content.  On this channel I will be doing things like walkthroughs, montages, gameplay commentaries, reviews, and achievement guides among other things.  There currently aren't any videos on that channel, however I will be getting an HD capture card for Christmas and will start adding lots of videos then.  Most of the footage is going to be from all kinds of xbox 360 games like Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo: Reach, Resident Evil 5, and Bioshock 2.  However, I will not be limited to only that console or only those games.  I may throw in some old-school stuff from time to time as well.  However, I don't own a Nintendo Wii or Playstation 3, so if I post videos from those consoles they will be rare, atleast at first.

So that is about it for now.  Depending on when you are reading this you may or may not be able to access my youtube channels via the links at the top of the page but I will add them at the end for you just in case.

  1. Hey Kevin.

It's good to see you doing more stuff other than magic and putting a lot of effort in it aswell, but it sounds to me like what your second channel will offer is something a lot of channels already offer, so you have to have a really unique twist on it, or else I'm afraid it wont really be a success.

  2. @bombfood Yeah I know, I will figure out how to make it unique. My friend wants me to try to make it "funny" but that isn't really my style. So unless it comes natural I am not going to force it. I think that part of what makes my MTG channel good is because of the quality of the videos and the professionalism of them and I plan on putting that same effort in the videogame stuff. The MTG channel will probably never be a 100,000 sub thing like some youtubers but I still consider it a "success".

  3. I love your MtG channel! It's good to watch people play and see how the game is played. Thank you so much for uploading these and taking the time to do so. My fiance and I just started playing MtG so we are watching some of your videos to get up to date on strategies. Thanks and keep up the good work!

(P.S. Maybe as a new video series you could do your favorite tactics and strategies.)
